Robot-Day: Opportunities and Potential of Robotics for SMEs in Metal Processing
In times of increasing competition and technological advancement, it is crucial for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to consider innovative manufacturing technologies to enhance their competitiveness and optimize production processes.
The rapid progress in robotics enables the application of available technologies even in the production of small batches or custom-made products. Embracing automation offers numerous benefits, including improved production quality and significantly increased production capacity. Additionally, automating welding processes reduces the physical strain on employees and creates opportunities for less monotonous tasks.
Event Highlights:
- Welcome speeches by Grußworte von Prof. Jan Sender (Fraunhofer IGP), Sven Olsen (IHK zu Rostock), and Ralf Svoboda (Ministry of Economics, Infrastructure, Tourism and Labour MV),
- Keynote presentations by representatives of TEDI Technische Dienste GmbH and Lang Metallwarenproduktion Neubrandenburg GmbH,
- A guided tour of Fraunhofer IGP's Technikum, featuring research stations and demonstrations by partners.
