    The first Smart Farming Field Day will take place at the Thünen Innovation Farm in Tellow on 2. September 2026. The Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics Research IGD and the Fraunhofer Research Institute for Large Structures in Production Engineering IGP, together with partners from research, industry, and startups, will demonstrate how artificial intelligence (AI), digitalization as well as automation can contribute to future-ready agriculture. The event will focus on practical applications and live demonstrations under real-world operating conditions.

    The Fraunhofer Institute for Large Structures in Production Engineering IGP will exhibit at the SMM trade fair in Hamburg from 1. to 4. September. The institute presents an “AR application of a large-scale robot for maritime production environments and aspects of the digitalized production of large structures.”
